Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Coleman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Remmi Demidov! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coleman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Demidov to the mat! Demidov manages to get full guard. Coleman throwing strikes but missing. Demidov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Coleman landing some decent shots from guard. Coleman throwing strikes but missing. Coleman throwing strikes from guard but Demidov blocks nicely. Coleman throwing strikes but missing. Coleman working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Demidov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Coleman sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Demidov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Horrible takedown by Coleman or perhaps it was just good defense by Demidov which made him look bad. Demidov digs a good hook to Coleman's body.
Good exchange - Demidov coming out on top. A kick lands to the mid section there for Demidov. Coleman fails with a takedown attempt. Coleman is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coleman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Demidov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Coleman cracks Demidov with a big right hand but Demidov just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Coleman looks up at the clock and then as Demidov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Coleman smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Coleman misses with the ground and pound. Coleman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Demidov stops Coleman from passing to mount. Demidov tries to escape but Coleman is in control. Demidov dodges the ground and pound from Coleman. Coleman scores with a couple of short elbows.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A slapping leg kick lands for Demidov.
Remmi Demidov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slapping body kick lands there for Demidov. Coleman walks into a straight right hand from Demidov. Demidov throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Demidov lands a with a good body shot. A jab from Demidov does it's job there. Remmi Demidov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Coleman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Demidov lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Coleman backs up against the cage.
Coleman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Coleman wants to pass to mount but Demidov is defending the position. Coleman sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Demidov defending well though.

Demidov keeps Coleman at a distance using the push kick. Coleman shoots in looking for a takedown. Demidov tries to sprawl out of it but Coleman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Demidov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Coleman gets the takedown into side control. Coleman in side control lands a decent elbow. Coleman passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Demidov! Demidov taking shots to the head. A nice elbow there by Coleman. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coleman is landing with some decent strikes but Demidov is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Coleman thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Coleman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Coleman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Demidov's head. Coleman postures up in Demidov's guard and throws a big left but Demidov blocks it. Demidov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Coleman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Demidov preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. And that's the end of the fight! Mark Coleman showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Coleman, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
