Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jake Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Walker's choice of entrance music: Shut em Down. Bobby Walker is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Roberts! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Walker! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker rushes Roberts and presses him up against the cage. Roberts wants a takedown.
Walker breaks from the clinch.
Roberts gets the takedown into side control. Walker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Roberts looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Roberts thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Roberts is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Walker knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Walker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roberts. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Walker manages to work his way to half guard, despite Roberts's best efforts. Roberts is trying to control the action in half guard but Walker is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Roberts looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Walker trying to control here.
Walker might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Roberts kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Roberts stops Walker from getting back to his feet.

Walker is concentrating on defense, preventing Roberts from advancing position. Walker is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Roberts fails to land the takedown. Roberts misses with a takedown attempt - Walker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Roberts. That's going to take a lot out of him. Roberts is breathing heavily. Walker clinches up against the cage. Walker is trying to trip Roberts. He has hold of a leg but Roberts is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Walker persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Roberts tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Walker just stands there and leans against the cage. Roberts wants a takedown but no success here.

Roberts fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Walker pushes Roberts up against the cage in a clinch. Walker tries to land a knee to the head but Roberts blocks with his arms.
Walker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Roberts throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Walker's waist but Walker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Roberts off to one side. Walker clinches up against the cage. Walker lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Walker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Walker wants to clinch up but Roberts keeps it at a distance. Roberts uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Walker. Walker tries to close the distance and clinch but Roberts swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Walker stuffs the takedown attempt from Roberts. Roberts gets slowly back to his feet. Roberts shoots in for a takedown but Walker shows good takedown defense. The fight moves into the clinch position. Roberts tries for a takedown but Walker manages to get underhooks.
Walker manages to break the clinch.
Walker tries to clinch but Roberts moves out of range. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roberts. Walker forces Roberts back against the cage and clinches. Walker breaks the clinch.
Roberts shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Walker as he jumps to the side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker clinches. Roberts goes for a takedown attempt but Walker pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jake Roberts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walker clinches up with Roberts and pushes him back against the cage. Walker gets underhooks to prevent Roberts's takedown attempt.
Walker gets control of Roberts's arms and successfully pulls guard. Walker will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Walker looking for a sweep. Not yet Walker, not yet. Walker trying to keep a closed guard but Roberts is proving a slippery customer.

Bobby Walker dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Roberts shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walker can do anything to dispel that myth. Roberts is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Walker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Roberts prevents Walker from getting back to his feet. Roberts thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Walker wants to stand but Roberts is controlling the position. Walker pulls Roberts in close to prevent any damage. Walker is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Roberts prevents Walker from getting back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Roberts fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Roberts with a poor takedown and Walker holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Roberts wants a takedown.

Roberts is working an open guard so Walker takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Walker gets in close and instigates a clinch. Walker taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Roberts throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Walker's waist but Walker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Roberts off to one side. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Roberts is looking for a triangle but Walker pushes his legs off easily.

Roberts is pulling down on Walker's head to control his posture. Roberts is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Roberts working for a triangle but Walker defends it easily.
Walker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Roberts is proving hard to escape from. Walker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Walker wants to stand but Roberts is controlling his posture from full guard. Walker wants to control from the top but Roberts keeps moving. Roberts is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Walker decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Roberts, up you get! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Roberts changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Walker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Walker tries to get back to half guard but can't. Walker is trying to control Roberts's posture but Roberts avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bobby Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Walker throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Walker gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Roberts has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Walker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Walker stops a takedown attempt from Roberts.
Walker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Walker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Roberts looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Roberts defending against the ground and pound. Walker stands up and we're back to a striking position. Excellent takedown into side control there by Walker. Roberts tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Walker wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Walker laying and praying for a moment but Roberts takes advantage and regains half guard. Roberts trying to control from the bottom.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Roberts is looking to improve his position.
Roberts is not content to let Walker control the position. Roberts is controlling Walker's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Roberts doesn't succeed with the takedown and Walker counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Roberts's guard now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Roberts. That's going to take a lot out of him. Walker wanted to stand there but Roberts had control of the position. Roberts is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Roberts is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Roberts avoids the attempt from Walker to control. Roberts trying to control but he's not successful this time. Walker bucks up and throws Roberts to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape! The fight moves into the clinch position. Roberts jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Walker walks away with a smile on his face. Roberts gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Walker gets a takedown into half guard. Roberts is looking to control Walker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Roberts avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roberts is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Walker not doing much here.
Walker tries to stand and escape but Roberts is controlling the position. Roberts is not content to let Walker control the position. Roberts is looking to control Walker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Roberts avoid being mounted? Jake Roberts has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bobby Walker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Walker wants to stand but Roberts has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Bobby Walker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Walker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
