Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Potter (ranked 1616 p4p, 216 weight class) and Kylma Jaak (ranked 3544 p4p, 433 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Potter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kylma Jaak! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jaak throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Potter's waist but Potter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jaak off to one side. Potter shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Potter showed some decent athleticism there. Jaak has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Potter is taking a breather. Jaak says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Potter is looking for a kimura but Jaak is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Potter to get the leverage. Jaak is trying to get back to full guard. Jaak wants to get back to full guard but Potter has mounted him! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Potter controlling from the full mount. Potter throws some wild stikes that Jaak manages to avoid easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Potter postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jaak looks a forlorn figure.
Potter goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Jaak is on top in guard.
Jaak trying to control the position from guard on top but Potter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Potter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Potter is adopting a defensive guard. Jaak in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jaak being controlled here momentarily. Potter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jaak. Potter has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Potter looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Potter is controlling Jaak's posture. Jaak throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Potter works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Potter is pulling down on Jaak's head. It's preventing any offense from Jaak, at least for the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jaak digs a good hook to Potter's body.
Jaak checks the leg kick. Jaak is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Jaak stuffs the takedown. Potter blocks a head kick by Jaak.
Potter lands with a cross. Jaak defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Potter. Potter avoids the head kick by Jaak.
Potter pivots, looking for a leg kick but Jaak is out of range and Potter settles back down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jaak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Potter moves away. Potter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jaak shoots for a takedown but Potter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice sprawl there from Jaak as Potter shoots in. Jaak is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Potter with a body shot. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Potter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Potter goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Jaak throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Potter sees it coming and avoids it easily. Potter attempts a counter takedown but Jaak avoids it well and moves away. Potter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Alexander Potter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jaak connects with a jab. Potter lands with an overhand left. This has been an exciting period of action! Potter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jaak's waist but Jaak gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Potter off to one side. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jaak throws a head kick that Potter semi-blocks.

A close round but Kylma Jaak will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jaak throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Potter. Jaak throws a head kick but Potter moves out of range.
Potter fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Potter gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Potter lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Potter lands with a punch from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Potter lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Potter throwing shots but Jaak is blocking nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Potter is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Potter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jaak for as long as he can get away with. Jaak is trying to control but can't.
Potter lands strikes from half guard. Potter is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Potter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Potter is looking to take a break and control but Jaak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jaak tries to roll over but Potter keeps him under control. Potter looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Potter lands strikes from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Potter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jaak keeps working. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Potter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jaak is just riding it out for now. Potter eventually gives up the hold. Potter working Jaak over with strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Potter slows the pace down in half guard. Jaak wants to get back to full guard but Potter has mounted him! Potter looking to control but Jaak is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Potter is landing with some decent strikes but Jaak is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Potter dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Potter takes a body punch but keeps moving. Jaak tries to clinch but Potter moves out of range. Potter connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Potter slips under a jab. Potter appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Jaak misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Potter.

Potter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jaak tries to avoid it but Potter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jaak to the ground. Jaak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jaak shoots in but no luck this time. Potter changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Jaak on the wrong end of a nice hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Potter avoids the head kick by Jaak.
Jaak sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Jaak takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Kylma Jaak has been cut. Potter lets loose with a powerful body kick. Jaak will feel that in the morning. Potter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jaak can do to turn this around?
That's one minute gone in the round. Potter fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Potter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Potter looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jaak uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kylma Jaak seems to be getting the better of the standup. Both fighters circling a little - Jaak finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Potter on the wrong end of a nice jab. Jaak is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Potter rather than just go for the knockout. Potter cracks Jaak with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Some bone on bone action there as Potter checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Jaak on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Potter is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Jaak gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Potter to score an easy takedown into full guard. Potter forces his way into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Potter is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Potter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Potter wants to control from the top but Jaak keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jaak utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jaak looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Potter trying to control but Jaak is working from the bottom. Jaak looking for a sweep. Not yet Jaak, not yet. Jaak pulls Potter in close to his closed guard and prevents Potter from doing any damage or advancing position. Potter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jaak misses with a wild body shot. Potter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Jaak is not content to let Potter control the position. Jaak tries to improve position but can't. Potter trying to control the action but Jaak is working from the bottom. Potter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jaak is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Jaak tries to buck Potter off but Potter is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Alexander Potter showed his dominance in that final round. I think Potter has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
