Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Maxim Vyacheslav Volkov (ranked 2182 p4p, 217 weight class) and Morgan Wade (ranked 3109 p4p, 287 weight class). Wade is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Bleeding. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov tries to clinch up but Wade circles away and keeps his distance.
Wade misses with a hook
and Volkov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Wade lands a jab to the head.
Volkov on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Wade thuds a left hand into Volkov's body.
Volkov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Wade stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Volkov throws a looping overhand right but Wade ducks down to avoid it.
Wade changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Volkov blocks a jab.
Wade keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

It looks like Maxim Vyacheslav Volkov has been cut.

Volkov tried to score with a low kick but Wade checks it.
Wade throws a solid leg kick but Volkov takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Wade.
Volkov thuds his right hand into Wade's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Volkov has taken the fight to the clinch.
Volkov misses with some punches.
Volkov wants to break free but Wade has control.
A head punch on the inside from Wade fails to land.

Wade escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice defenses there by Wade.
Volkov walks into a left hand.
Volkov missing with a left hand there. Wade was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Wade swings for the body but Volkov moves out of range.
Wade throws a hook but Volkov avoids it easily.
Wade throws a leg kick which misses Volkov's front leg but catches the back leg as Volkov tries to avoid it.
Morgan Wade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Volkov, right into the meat.
Volkov throws out a loose jab but Wade uses good head movement to avoid it.
Volkov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wade moves away from the strike by Volkov.
Wade throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Volkov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wade displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Volkov throws out the jab.

Wade avoids a punch combination nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wade throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wade tests Volkov's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Wade connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Volkov's hands.
Volkov looks to throw the jab but Wade is out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Volkov. Wade does a little dance to reset his feet.

Wade swats away the attempt to clinch by Volkov.

Wade shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Volkov eats them both and turns towards Wade to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Wade has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Volkov tries to clinch but Wade moves out of range.
Wade's jab looks to have found its range, popping Volkov under the eye.
Volkov takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Volkov misses the shot to the body.
Volkov misses with a body kick.
Wade's corner calls for a 1-2. Wade obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Wade dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Volkov. That did some damage!
Wade moves into range and connects with a jab.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Wade! But no joy.

That kick from Wade tenderised Volkov's leg. Volkov is trying to keep his angry face on.
Wade lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Wade lunges at Volkov with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Volkov's hand.

Oh Volkov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wade needs to keep his hands up - Volkov had a free shot at his head there.
That kick from Wade tenderised Volkov's leg. Volkov is trying to keep his angry face on.
Wade connects with a nice cross there... Volkov is looking wobbly and Wade recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Volkov to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Wade jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with the crowd!
