Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rudolf Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dave Brouwer!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight circles away from the clinch attempt.

Knight moves into the clinch.
Brouwer wants to take the fight to the mat but Knight manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Knight trying to stall but Brouwer improves his position.
Knight is struggling to control the position.
Knight is pushing Brouwer up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Knight is trying to break the clinch but Brouwer is controlling him.
Brouwer jumps guard but Knight turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Brouwer not doing much here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Knight gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Knight is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Knight makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Brouwer lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brouwer is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Knight reverses the position - he's now on top in Brouwer's guard.
Knight has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Brouwer is proving hard to escape from.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Knight got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brouwer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Knight has managed to get both his arms back between Brouwer's legs - danger averted.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Rudolf Knight will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Knight tries to close the distance and clinch but Brouwer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Despite the aggression on Brouwer's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Knight went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Brouwer looks for a takedown but Knight sprawls well.

Knight tries to clinch up but Brouwer circles away and keeps his distance.
A nice side step and Brouwer releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

and Knight counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

and Knight counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Knight doesn't manage to clinch there - Brouwer circles away.

Brouwer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Brouwer drags the fight down to the ground.
Knight postures up in Brouwer's guard and throws a big left but Brouwer blocks it.

Brouwer throws his legs up looking for a submission but Knight uses it to pass to side control.

Knight tries for a kimura but Brouwer is defending well.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Brouwer throws a combination that misses
and Knight makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Brouwer swats away the attempt to clinch by Knight.

Knight is looking to clinch but Brouwer is avoiding it.

Knight closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Brouwer has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Knight is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Brouwer.
Knight really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

You can see the frustration on Knight's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
