Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Freddie Zamora (ranked 5902 p4p, 296 weight class) and Vasyl Kravchenko (ranked 7361 p4p, 345 weight class). Vasyl Kravchenko told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Freddie Zamora! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vasyl Kravchenko! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zamora misses with an uppercut. Kravchenko saw that one coming. A looping hook to the body misses from Zamora. Kravchenko does a little dance to reset his feet. Kravchenko throws a looping overhand right but Zamora ducks down to avoid it. Kravchenko lands a jab to the nose. A big left from Zamora misses. Kravchenko changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Zamora misses with an uppercut. Kravchenko saw that one coming. Zamora ducks under a wild hook from Kravchenko. Zamora attempts a counter takedown but Kravchenko avoids it well and moves away. Kravchenko swinging wildly here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zamora takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Zamora throws a big shot that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kravchenko misses with a looping right. Zamora feinted with a counter takedown. Zamora swings for the body but Kravchenko moves out of range.

Kravchenko misses with a hook. Zamora ducked under it nicely. Zamora throws a hook but Kravchenko avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kravchenko throws a hook to the side of Zamora's head but Zamora sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Zamora avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kravchenko jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Zamora tries for a takedown but Kravchenko sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Zamora throws a right and a left that Kravchenko avoids nicely. Kravchenko is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Kravchenko leaves Zamora with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Zamora slips a jab from Kravchenko. A slow jab from Kravchenko misses its intended target. Zamora attempts a counter takedown but Kravchenko avoids it well and moves away. Kravchenko is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Zamora. A big left from Zamora misses.

Zamora ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Zamora half committed to a counter leg kick. Zamora shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Zamora ducks under a wild hook from Kravchenko. Zamora appears to be looking for a counter takedown. A big right from Kravchenko misses. Zamora uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kravchenko.
Kravchenko throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zamora sees it coming and avoids it easily. Zamora is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Zamora explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Kravchenko misses the target. Zamora slips a jab from Kravchenko. Zamora half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. A big right from Zamora misses. Zamora looks to land a left hand but Kravchenko moved out of range nicely. Kravchenko throws an overhand right that lands on Zamora's shoulder, as Zamora tries to avoid the shot. Kravchenko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kravchenko fails miserably with a takedown attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Zamora displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kravchenko throws out the jab. Kravchenko misses with a straight left. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kravchenko loads up on a big right hand but Zamora slips the punch. Zamora ducks under a wild hook from Kravchenko. Kravchenko steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zamora. Zamora misses with the combination.
Kravchenko throws the left hand but Zamora avoids the punch easily. Vasyl Kravchenko seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kravchenko looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zamora is fending him off so far but Kravchenko persists. Nope, Zamora circles away and we're back to standing. Zamora looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kravchenko scores with a takedown into Zamora's guard. Kravchenko controls from within his opponent's guard. Kravchenko sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Zamora doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Kravchenko paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Zamora - great work!
