Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Milo Brunswick (ranked 107 p4p, 19 weight class) and Arjen Diaz (ranked 229 p4p, 34 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Diaz's choice of entrance music: Rise Against - Give It All. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Milo Brunswick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arjen Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz throws a big shot that misses.

and Diaz counters with a left to the body.

Brunswick looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

A nice side step and Diaz releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Diaz shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Brunswick eats them both and turns towards Diaz to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Brunswick crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Diaz - the referee stops the clock and Brunswick gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Diaz. Brunswick manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Brunswick got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brunswick has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Brunswick seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Brunswick seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Diaz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Diaz is fighting to break Brunswick's control of his arms but Brunswick is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
