Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elvin Starnes (ranked 6978 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pimpin Aint Easy (ranked 7373 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pimpin Aint Easy! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Starnes pivots, looking for a leg kick but Aint Easy is out of range and Starnes settles back down. Aint Easy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Starnes.

Aint Easy looks to throw the jab but Starnes is out of range. Elvin Starnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Aint Easy slips under a jab. Aint Easy digs a good body shot into Starnes's ribs. Starnes throws a leg kick but Aint Easy checks it. Starnes dives in for a single leg takedown but Aint Easy sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Aint Easy doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Starnes closes the distance and clinches up with Aint Easy, looking for a takedown. Starnes pushes Aint Easy against the cage but Aint Easy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Starnes tries to pass to full mount but Aint Easy defends it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aint Easy keeps control of the position for the meantime. Starnes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Starnes is looking to advance position but Aint Easy won't allow it. Starnes with the ground and pound but Aint Easy uses the opportunity to regain guard. Aint Easy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Starnes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Starnes passes Aint Easy's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Aint Easy is concentrating on defense, preventing Starnes from advancing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Starnes wants to work for an arm triangle but Aint Easy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aint Easy is controlling Starnes's trapped leg to prevent Starnes from advancing to side control. Aint Easy keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Aint Easy leaves Starnes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elvin Starnes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Starnes misses with a takedown and Aint Easy counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Starnes thinking. Starnes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Aint Easy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Starnes is breathing heavily.

Aint Easy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. The crowd cheers as Aint Easy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Starnes doesn't seem phased though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Aint Easy lands an overhand right. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Starnes throws a right hand that misses
and Aint Easy counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Starnes takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Aint Easy is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pimpin Aint Easy dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Aint Easy stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Pimpin Aint Easy seems to be getting the better of the standup. Aint Easy connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Starnes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aint Easy but Aint Easy pushes him off and we're back to square one. Starnes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A punch combination from Starnes misses. Starnes goes for a double leg but Aint Easy avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Aint Easy continues to drive forward. A looping hook to the body misses from Starnes. Aint Easy does a little dance to reset his feet. It seemed like Aint Easy was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Aint Easy lands with a cross. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A shot to the liver by Aint Easy. Beautiful body shot. Aint Easy misses the shot to the body. Starnes takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
