The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lydon rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Old counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Old avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lydon looking for a sweep. Not yet Lydon, not yet.
Old throws a strike but Lydon rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Lydon looking to pass the guard.
Lydon scoring with some ground and pound.
Old wants to sweep here but Lydon controlling him for the moment.
Old is still trying to improve position.
Lydon connects with a couple of short punches.
Lydon stands up over Old, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Lydon lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Lydon gets to his feet - Old follows without any prompting.
Lydon takes a swing at Old's ribcage but misses.
Old replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Lydon blocks it well.
Lydon drops his shoulder and cracks Old with a huge uppercut! Old goes down! Can Lydon finish him?
Old is rocked!
Lydon loads up on a big left hand. Old felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Lydon looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Old can't hide his disappointment, as Lydon celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maximillian Lydon!
