Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Masahiro Tanaka (ranked 6847 p4p, 733 weight class) and Big Boi (ranked 6228 p4p, 0 weight class). Tanaka comes to the cage accompanied by Takyon. Boi has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Masahiro Tanaka looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanaka knocks Boi to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
That has opened up Big Boi's cut even more.
Tanaka stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Tanaka closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Boi looks winded!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tanaka decides to return to a standing position.
Tanaka throws a powerful right kick. Boi tried to block low but the kick was high! Boi was taken right off of his feet! Tanaka jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Masahiro Tanaka!
