Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy McGill (ranked 4418 p4p, 422 weight class) and Jeff Hudson (ranked 2822 p4p, 291 weight class). The key to victory for Jimmy McGill has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy McGill! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jeff Hudson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hudson tries to keep at a distance but McGill has taken the fight into the clinch. Hudson blocking some punches.
Hudson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Hudson fails with a takedown attempt. McGill fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hudson sprawls well initially but McGill persists and gets the takedown into half guard. McGill prevents Hudson from standing back up.
Hudson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hudson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. McGill is looking to work some ground and pound but Hudson has wrist control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGill preventing the sweep. McGill trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. McGill is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Hudson is pulling down on McGill's head. It's preventing any offense from McGill, at least for the moment. McGill postures up and lands a big shot to Hudson's brow.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGill landing with the ground and pound. Hudson looking to control.
McGill working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hudson is looking for a triangle but McGill pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hudson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hudson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Hudson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hudson wants to stand up but McGill is controlling him. Hudson looking to control.
McGill is working Hudson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. McGill throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. McGill keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hudson's head. Hudson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hudson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hudson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McGill defends it easily. McGill trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. McGill has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hudson to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! McGill is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hudson pulls down on the head and he's put McGill to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jeff Hudson! A very excited looking Jeff Hudson rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
