The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Langley gets the takedown into side control.

I wouldn't like to be where Raven is right now.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Raven enables Langley to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Raven manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Langley drops back looking for a leg! Raven is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Raven manages to kick Langley off! Langley jumps back into Raven's guard.
Raven can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Langley controls the pace.

Horrible takedown attempt by Raven or perhaps it was just good defense by Langley, which made it look bad.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Langley is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Langley.

Raven escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Langley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Langley postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Raven to stand up.
Raven takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Langley looks to land a combination but Raven avoids it well.
Raven shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Langley but Langley pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lanny Langley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Raven.
