PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Deon Du Plessis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winnie Pooh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Du Plessis comes into the arena with Fort Minor - Remember the name blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Deon Du Plessis has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Deon Du Plessis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Winnie Pooh!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pooh connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Pooh fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pooh throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pooh shoots in looking for a takedown. Du Plessis tries to sprawl out of it but Pooh keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Du Plessis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Du Plessis is looking to clinch.
Pooh tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Du Plessis counters with a big head kick but Pooh shrugs it off.
The fighters circling - Pooh throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Pooh throws a low kick but it's checked well by Du Plessis.
Du Plessis lands a head kick!

It looks like Winnie Pooh has been cut.
Pooh circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pooh has a takedown stuffed.
Du Plessis scores with a jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pooh closes the distance and clinches up with Du Plessis, looking for a takedown. Pooh pushes Du Plessis against the cage but Du Plessis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Deon Du Plessis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Winnie Pooh.
Du Plessis lands with an uppercut that bounces Pooh off the cage and back into rage.

Pooh is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Du Plessis circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Pooh to the canvas! Pooh doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Du Plessis keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
