Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Milan Fowler (ranked 8602 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raghave Upadhyaya (ranked 6246 p4p, 0 weight class). Upadhyaya has chosen Make It Home as his entrance music. Raghave Upadhyaya will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Milan Fowler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Raghave Upadhyaya! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ben Hemmingworth and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Upadhyaya closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Fowler quickly recovers to half guard. Upadhyaya trying to control from Fowler's half guard. Fowler has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Fowler keeping moving, preventing Upadhyaya from controlling successfully. Fowler has his hands on Upadhyaya's head, controlling the position. Upadhyaya showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fowler pushes Upadhyaya off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body kick there by Upadhyaya. Upadhyaya has taken the fight to the clinch.
Upadhyaya breaks from the clinch.
Upadhyaya shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Upadhyaya was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Fowler explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Upadhyaya throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
The fight moves into the clinch position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Upadhyaya gets control of Fowler's arms and successfully pulls guard. Upadhyaya will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Upadhyaya keeping full guard, as Fowler tries to pass. Upadhyaya looking to hit a scissor sweep but Fowler is one step ahead there. Fowler gets to his feet - Upadhyaya follows without any prompting. Upadhyaya looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Fowler! Upadhyaya is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fowler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Fowler prevents Upadhyaya from improving position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Upadhyaya wants to stand but Fowler is controlling his arm. Fowler regains half guard there - taking advantage of Upadhyaya's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Fowler wants to get back to his feet. Fowler is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Upadhyaya's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Upadhyaya's back! Fowler could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Upadhyaya tries to roll but Fowler sticks to his back.
Fowler is persistently looking for the submission but Upadhyaya is defending it well.
Fowler has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Upadhyaya has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Upadhyaya turns into Fowler and is now in his guard.
Upadhyaya pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fowler is keeping the position for now. Fowler keeping moving, preventing Upadhyaya from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Milan Fowler will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Fowler gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Upadhyaya to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Fowler manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Upadhyaya pulls guard successfully.
Upadhyaya is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fowler drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fowler jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Fowler stands up from Upadhyaya's guard - Fowler perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's one minute gone in the round. A slapping body kick lands there for Upadhyaya. Upadhyaya looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Fowler is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Upadhyaya has Fowler pressed against the cage, preventing Fowler from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Fowler is trying to pull guard but Upadhyaya turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Upadhyaya gets a trip takedown into half guard. Fowler slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Upadhyaya gets to his feet - Fowler follows without any prompting. Upadhyaya shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Upadhyaya showed some decent athleticism there. Upadhyaya is breathing heavily. Fowler is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Upadhyaya pulls his head out easily. Fowler keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fowler is pressing down on Upadhyaya's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Upadhyaya wants to pass the guard but Fowler is keeping the position. Fowler wants to stand and escape but Upadhyaya is having none of it. Upadhyaya stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fowler swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fowler looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fowler controlling the position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Fowler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Upadhyaya shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Fowler trying to hold on to Upadhyaya's head to control him but Upadhyaya postures up.
Fowler has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Upadhyaya is on him like a limpet, forcing Fowler back against the cage. Upadhyaya breaks from the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Milan Fowler will probably get the nod. That's time! Fowler's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Upadhyaya moves into the clinch. Upadhyaya gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fowler wants to control but Upadhyaya is keeping busy.
Upadhyaya seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Fowler is defending against the submission attempts here by Upadhyaya.

Fowler decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Upadhyaya, up you get! Upadhyaya throws a left and a right that both miss
and Fowler counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fowler gets caught flat footed, as Upadhyaya shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Fowler has his feet on Upadhyaya's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Upadhyaya takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Upadhyaya misses with a double jab
and Fowler holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Upadhyaya goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Upadhyaya wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Fowler pulls guard effortlessly. Fowler is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Upadhyaya looking to sit in guard and control but Fowler gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fowler stands up and waves to Upadhyaya to follow him. Upadhyaya takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Fowler instigates a clinch. Fowler prevents Upadhyaya from breaking the clinch. Fowler tries to break free but Upadhyaya pushes him back against the cage. Upadhyaya has picked Fowler up - he's going for a ride! Upadhyaya dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Fowler kicks Upadhyaya off and gets back to his feet. Fowler is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Upadhyaya can do to turn this around?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Upadhyaya fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fowler to the ground. Upadhyaya is now in Fowler's guard. Fowler manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Upadhyaya wants the takedown. Fowler is fighting it off but Upadhyaya persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Fowler's guard against the cage. Fowler is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Fowler pulls guard effortlessly. Fowler managing to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Milan Fowler showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Fowler, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
