Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zero Requiem!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Claude Imhoof!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Imhoof clinches with his opponent.

Imhoof decides to pull guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Imhoof holds on and takes a little breather.
Imhoof wants to sweep but no luck.
Imhoof controlling Requiem's posture.
Requiem is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Imhoof tries to strike from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Requiem is looking to stand up but Imhoof won't let him.
Imhoof working a defensive guard here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Requiem or perhaps it was just good defense by Imhoof, which made it look bad.
A nice side step and Imhoof releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Requiem is trying hard to land a takedown here. Imhoof sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Requiem fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zero Requiem. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Requiem misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Imhoof.
Imhoof stuffs the takedown attempt from Requiem. Requiem gets slowly back to his feet.
Imhoof with the counter takedown but Requiem avoids it easily.

Imhoof darts in and clinches Requiem up against the cage.

Imhoof's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Imhoof shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Imhoof stops Requiem from getting back to his feet.

Requiem is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Imhoof pulls his head out easily.
Imhoof prevents Requiem from improving his position.
Requiem is breathing heavily.
Imhoof is controlling the pace.
Imhoof lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Requiem is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Imhoof not doing much here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Requiem is looking to control Imhoof's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Requiem avoid being mounted?
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Still in half guard, Imhoof seems content to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Imhoof tries to land a body kick

and Requiem counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Requiem.
Imhoof wants to stand and escape but Requiem is having none of it.

Imhoof throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Imhoof is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Imhoof is continuing to stall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Claude Imhoof dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Requiem misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Requiem shoots in looking for a takedown but Imhoof manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Requiem's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Imhoof throws a shot from downtown. Requiem moves away and avoids it.
As Imhoof tries to get set, Requiem tries to push him back and clinch up but Imhoof manages to avoid the attempt.

Imhoof clinches.

Imhoof has picked Requiem up - he's going for a ride! Imhoof dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Imhoof trying to control from half guard but Requiem is working away.

Requiem is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Imhoof pulls his head out easily.

Imhoof is trying for a kimura here. Requiem looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Imhoof wins by kimura!
