The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cotton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wilson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cotton tries to clinch

Wilson fails to land with a series of punches.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Wilson.
Cotton is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cotton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Cotton throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Wilson counter with a right hand.

Wilson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wilson wants it to stay on the feet.
Cotton tries to clinch but Wilson moves away
and Wilson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cotton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wilson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wilson tries a quick counter leg kick but Cotton is wise to it.
Cotton fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wilson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Wilson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Cotton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wilson is fending him off so far but Cotton persists. Nope, Wilson circles away and we're back to standing.
Wilson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cotton throws a leg kick that is checked
and Wilson counters with a low kick, right behind Cotton 's knee.

Cotton gets a double leg takedown into Wilson's guard.

Wilson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Cotton off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Cotton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Wilson scores with a punch to the head.

Wilson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Cotton is rocked!
Cotton walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Cotton limp body while Wilson jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
