Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mickey Maia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Yuri Bedlaminov!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia misses the body punch
and Bedlaminov counters with a stiff right hand.


It looks like Mickey Maia has been cut.
A low kick from Maia is predictable there

and Bedlaminov counters by moving into the clinch.
Bedlaminov doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Bedlaminov fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Maia.
A shot in the inside from Bedlaminov.
Bedlaminov lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Maia backwards.
Bedlaminov makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Maia lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Maia lands a hook to the side of the head.

Bedlaminov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Yuri Bedlaminov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Maia.
Maia throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Bedlaminov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bedlaminov stuns Maia with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bedlaminov ducks under a wild hook from Maia.
A slapping leg kick lands for Maia.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bedlaminov jabs Maia right on the nose. Maia blinks but takes it well.
Bedlaminov throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Maia counters with a nice leg kick.
Maia fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bedlaminov manages to avoid it.
Bedlaminov missing with a left hand there. Maia was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A slow jab from Bedlaminov misses its intended target.
Maia missing with a left hand there. Bedlaminov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Maia lands a nice hook to Bedlaminov's body. Bedlaminov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bedlaminov thuds his right hand into Maia's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.


Mickey Maia's cut is getting worse.
We've been told by Maia's head coaches at Gym 412-RoaR sponsored training facility that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Maia uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bedlaminov.
Maia looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Maia uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bedlaminov.
As Bedlaminov looks to move away, Maia throws a big counter combo but Bedlaminov just gets out of the way.
Bedlaminov clobbers Maia with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bedlaminov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Maia throws out the jab.
Bedlaminov cracks Maia with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bedlaminov misses with a looping left.
Bedlaminov might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Maia misses with a hook to the body
and Bedlaminov counters with a nice uppercut.

Mickey Maia's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

A swing and a miss from Maia.
Bedlaminov flicks out a counter leg kick but Maia steps away.
Bedlaminov looks to land a left hand but Maia moved out of range nicely.
Bedlaminov steps in with a hook that catches Maia right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Bedlaminov follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Maia looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yuri Bedlaminov!
Our winner, Yuri Bedlaminov, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Mickey Maia spoke after the fight, saying 'Shut up you bum'.
