Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fray Bentos (ranked 1582 p4p, 169 weight class) and Ryan Pepper (ranked 1218 p4p, 123 weight class). Fray Bentos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fray Bentos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ryan Pepper! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Skip Squint and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pepper tries to score with a low kick but Bentos moves his leg out of the way. Bentos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pepper moves away. Pepper stalks Bentos and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bentos's face. Bentos staggers backwards, shaken. Pepper looks to throw the jab but Bentos is out of range. Pepper closes the distance and clinches. We've been informed that Pepper has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Pepper works on Bentos's body with a couple of short punches. Pepper tries to throw a body punch but Bentos avoids it by throwing Pepper back against the cage. Pepper tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Pepper swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Pepper misses with a punch to the body.
Bentos gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Pepper regains guard.
Pepper looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bentos is one step ahead there. Bentos wants to pass the guard but Pepper is keeping the position. Pepper looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bentos preventing the sweep. Bentos lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Bentos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bentos stands and throws Pepper's legs to the side, diving into side control. Bentos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pepper keeps working. Pepper is looking to reverse the position. Bentos is looking to take a break and control but Pepper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pepper looks to move to half guard but instead Bentos has passed into mount! Damn!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pepper is squirming around, avoiding Bentos's attempts to control the action. Bentos looking to finish with strikes here!
Bentos pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Pepper tries to hold on but Bentos postures up. Bentos tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bentos raining down shots from the mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. You get the feeling that Pepper really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Bentos lands a big elbow. Bentos looking to finish Pepper with some ground and pound. This is bad for Pepper! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pepper can do anything to dispel that myth. Pepper regains half guard. Bentos throwing shots but Pepper is blocking nicely. Bentos prevents Pepper from improving his position. Pepper is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Bentos slows the pace down in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pepper trying to control but Bentos postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bentos moves nicely into side control. Pepper is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bentos has just dragged him back down to the mat. Bentos scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Pepper to see if he's OK. Pepper is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bentos has just dragged him back down to the mat. Pepper defending against the ground and pound. Bentos controlling from side mount. Pepper wants to get back to his feet but Bentos drags him back down. Bentos lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fray Bentos dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Pepper misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bentos.
A shot to the body from Pepper misses and Bentos counters with a stiff right hand. Pepper throws a body shot but no joy. Pepper throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pepper throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Pepper misses with a right hand enabling Bentos to counter with a crisp jab.
Pepper is rocked! Bentos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pepper can do to turn this around? Pepper walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Pepper limp body while Bentos jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Fray Bentos! An out of breath Fray Bentos thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
