Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Cote (ranked 25070 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Collins (ranked 6006 p4p, 649 weight class). Collins has chosen For America as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rodney Cote! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rob Collins! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Collins needs to keep his hands up - Cote had a free shot at his head there. Collins has taken the fight to the clinch.
Collins breaks from the clinch.
Cote shoots in for a takedown but Collins shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Cote closes the distance and clinches up with Collins, looking for a takedown. Cote pushes Collins against the cage but Collins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Collins shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Cote really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Cote is trying to stand up here but Collins is controlling him well. Collins trying to control the action but Cote is working from the bottom. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Collins in particular looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cote is trying to maintain the position but Collins is very close to passing his half guard. Cote lands a couple of sideways elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Collins is trying to control the action in half guard but Cote is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Collins trying to mount his opponent but Cote defends it. Cote pushes Collins off but Collins dives into side control.
Collins slows the pace down. Cote tries to strike from the bottom but misses. Collins stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Collins throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cote fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rodney Cote. That's going to take a lot out of him. Collins darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Cote manages to escape and get back to his feet! Collins scores with a takedown into Cote's guard. Cote has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Collins off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Collins looks winded! Collins changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cote looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Cote throws Collins to one side and escapes!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Collins tries to clinch up but Cote circles away and keeps his distance. Collins fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cote to the ground. Collins is now in Cote's guard. Cote will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Cote manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Cote shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Collins wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Cote manages to pass to side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Collins is trying to stand back up but Cote is controlling him

That's four minutes gone in the round. Collins trying to control but Cote postures up.
Still in half guard, Cote seems content to control. Collins avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Cote. Collins has hold of Cote's hands but Cote slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Collins is trying to control but Cote passes into side control!
Collins tries to improve position but can't. Collins struggling a bit here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rodney Cote dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Collins is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cote's half guard. Rodney Cote overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cote is looking to control Collins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cote avoid being mounted? Cote wants to get back to his feet.
Collins with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Cote has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Collins wants to take a breather but Cote is having none of it. Cote trying to control here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cote wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Collins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Collins seems to be working for a kimura but Cote defends the submission attempt. Cote tries to roll over but Collins keeps him under control. Cote missing with punches from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Collins trying to control the action but Cote is working from the bottom. Cote has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Collins is working away from the top position though. Cote striking from the bottom. Collins is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cote has managed to free his arm - good work. Cote punching from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cote wants to control but Collins is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Collins drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cote struggling a bit here. Cote wants to get back to his feet but Collins drags him back down. Collins wants to stand but Cote has his arm trapped. Cote striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Cote is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Collins has just dragged him back down to the mat. Who's going to make the next move?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cote wants to control but Collins postures up. Collins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cote keeps working.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Cote tries to keep at a distance but Collins has taken the fight into the clinch. Collins is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Cote can't fight it off and eventually Collins manages to take the fight to the floor. Cote looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Collins stops Cote from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Collins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Cote enables Collins to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cote manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Collins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Collins postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cote trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Cote manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Cote gets a double leg takedown into Collins's guard. Collins is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Collins working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cote. Cote is working Collins over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Collins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cote is one step ahead there. Collins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Cote throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Collins works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Collins wants to stand but Cote is controlling the position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Collins working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Cote.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rob Collins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Collins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Cote gets tackled into the cage by Collins. Collins maintains the clinch. Cote manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Cote is striking from the bottom but Collins uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Cote keeping control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cote looking for submissions off his back. Cote is not content to let Collins control the position. Cote wants to get back to his feet.
Collins is looking for a kimura but Cote is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Collins to get the leverage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cote tries to kick Collins off but Collins keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Cote trying to control here.
Cote has a hand on Collins's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Collins takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Collins tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Cote is squirming around, avoiding Collins's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cote is looking to improve his position but Collins isn't that keen on the idea. Collins tries to control but Cote wriggling away. Collins putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Cote tries to hold on but Collins postures up. Collins lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cote throwing hammer fists to the chest of Collins. What's that going to do exactly?
And that's the end of the fight! Rob Collins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Collins has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
