Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robbie Hutchinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alejandro Barbarosa!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hutchinson tries to close the distance and clinch but Barbarosa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hutchinson dives in for a single leg takedown but Barbarosa sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Barbarosa looks to score with a jab to the body but Hutchinson is just out of range.

Hutchinson drives through and clinches with Barbarosa against the cage.
Barbarosa stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Hutchinson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Barbarosa has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hutchinson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

It looked like Hutchinson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Barbarosa tries to keep at a distance but Hutchinson has taken the fight into the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Alejandro Barbarosa dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Hutchinson looks to clinch

and Barbarosa counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Hutchinson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
A bit of stalling here from Hutchinson.
Come on Hutchinson - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Barbarosa is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hutchinson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Barbarosa prevents Hutchinson from breaking the clinch.
Hutchinson has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hutchinson is trying to force a seperation but Barbarosa has the dominant position.
Hutchinson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Hutchinson trying to control the position but instead, Barbarosa has worked for underhooks and has pushed Hutchinson into the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Barbarosa manages to break the clinch.

That kick from Barbarosa tenderised Hutchinson's leg. Hutchinson is trying to keep his angry face on.

Hutchinson drives through and clinches with Barbarosa against the cage.
Barbarosa keeps control of Hutchinson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Hutchinson tries to stall but Barbarosa uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Barbarosa controls Hutchinson momentarily but Hutchinson frees himself.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Barbarosa pulls Hutchinson in close to his closed guard and prevents Hutchinson from doing any damage or advancing position.
Hutchinson wants to stand and escape but instead Barbarosa has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Robbie Hutchinson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Barbarosa gets to his feet - Hutchinson follows without any prompting.
Hutchinson stuffs the takedown.
It looked like Hutchinson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Barbarosa is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hutchinson wants to control the position but Barbarosa says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Hutchinson is staying active underneath Barbarosa, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Hutchinson throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Barbarosa manages to pass to side control.
Hutchinson is trying to control Barbarosa's posture but Barbarosa avoids it.
Barbarosa has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Barbarosa goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hutchinson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Barbarosa's guard! Nice work there by Hutchinson!

Alejandro Barbarosa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Horrible takedown attempt by Barbarosa or perhaps it was just good defense by Hutchinson, which made it look bad.

Barbarosa throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hutchinson was covering up waiting for the punch and Barbarosa finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hutchinson can't keep his opponent in guard - Barbarosa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Hutchinson is looking to control Barbarosa's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hutchinson avoid being mounted?
Hutchinson is doing well to control the position and prevent Barbarosa from advancing to side control.

Barbarosa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hutchinson keeps working.
Barbarosa is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Barbarosa feints and as Hutchinson raises his hands in defense, Barbarosa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Hutchinson is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Barbarosa presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barbarosa throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hutchinson blocks it with crossed arms.
Barbarosa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hutchinson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Barbarosa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Barbarosa is working for takedown but Hutchinson is calmly controlling the position for now.

The referee is keeping an eye on Hutchinson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Hutchinson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Barbarosa napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Barbarosa sneaks out the side door and pushes Hutchinson away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

I would just about give that final round to Alejandro Barbarosa.
I've got Barbarosa winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
