Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Mays (ranked 7332 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Unger (ranked 5398 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamont Mays has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lamont Mays! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Richard Unger! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Unger circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mays tries to close the distance and clinch but Unger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Unger misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No joy there for Unger, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mays misses with an uppercut
and Unger connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Mays fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Unger is looking to land body kicks. Unger throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mays throwing a counter right hand but Unger manages to avoid it. Mays shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Unger as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Unger checks a low kick from Mays. Mays shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Unger counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mays thinking. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lamont Mays. That's going to take a lot out of him. Unger lands a left and a right that send Mays crashing to the mat, dazed. Unger thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Mays is rocked!
It looks like Lamont Mays has been cut. Unger lands a jab to Mays's midsection. Oh Mays is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Unger throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mays's waist but Mays gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Unger off to one side. Unger batters Mays with a massive right followed by a huge left! Mays is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Unger lands a final crushing right hand to drop Mays to the mat with a gruesome thud! Unger is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Richard Unger!
