Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brady Patton (ranked 6155 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viggo Hansen (ranked 7301 p4p, 0 weight class). Hansen has chosen The Devils Bleeding Crown as his entrance music. Viggo Hansen has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Brady Patton's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patton drives through and clinches with Hansen against the cage.

Hansen is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Patton is trying to drag Hansen to the mat but Hansen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Hansen manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Patton not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Patton throws a strike but Hansen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Hansen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hansen drives through and clinches with Patton against the cage.
Hansen is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Patton has Hansen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hansen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brady Patton. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Patton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hansen is just riding it out for now. Patton eventually gives up the hold.

Patton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hansen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Patton is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Hansen still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Hansen has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Patton gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brady Patton will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hansen has Patton up against the cage in a clinch.

Hansen clobbers Patton with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hansen rushes Patton and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hansen wants to break the clinch but can't.

Hansen dives in and grabs Patton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Patton pushes down on Hansen's head and hops out.

Patton wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Patton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Patton fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hansen to the ground. Patton is now in Hansen's guard.

Hansen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Patton drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hansen dives on top into guard.
Patton scrambles and gets back to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hansen.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hansen jabs Patton to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Patton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Hansen gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Brady Patton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viggo Hansen.

Hansen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Patton's waist but Patton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hansen off to one side.
Patton throws a series of punches but Hansen moves out of range.
Hansen throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Hansen closes the distance and pushes Patton back into the cage.
Hansen is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Hansen wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Patton's closed guard. He's half up but Patton has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Patton pivots and extends the arm, Hansen falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Patton! Well done that man!
