Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gail Faulkner (ranked 8468 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grappling Guy (ranked 6276 p4p, 273 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gail Faulkner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grappling Guy! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faulkner moves into the clinch. Faulkner gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Faulkner is fighting to break Guy's control of his arms but Guy is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Guy keeping moving, preventing Faulkner from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Guy pulls Faulkner in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Faulkner is aware though and is defending well. Guy looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Faulkner trying to control the position from guard on top but Guy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Guy is trying to control the position but Faulkner postures up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Faulkner dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Guy. That did some damage! Faulkner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Faulkner has Guy pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Faulkner pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Guy tumbling to the mat - Faulkner dives into Guy's guard. Guy is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Faulkner gets to his feet. Guy looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Faulkner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Guy napping and manages to drive through into side control! Guy can't do much from the bottom here. Faulkner goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Guy has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Faulkner but great work by Guy. Guy wants to control but Faulkner is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Faulkner knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Faulkner is not content to let Guy control the position. Guy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Guy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Guy trying to control the action but Faulkner is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Guy on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Faulkner looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Faulkner drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Guy regains half guard. Guy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Faulkner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Guy moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Faulkner rushes Guy and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Guy has Faulkner pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Guy pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Faulkner tumbling to the mat - Guy dives into Faulkner's guard. Guy trying to control the position from guard on top but Faulkner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Guy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Guy wants to pass the guard but Faulkner is keeping the position. Guy won't allow Faulkner to get back to his feet. Guy looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Guy passes easily into side control. Nice work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! You can see the frustration on Faulkner's face as Guy controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gail Faulkner dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Guy has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Faulkner clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Guy not allowing Faulkner to control his hands. Faulkner wants to get back to his feet. Guy not allowing Faulkner to control his hands. Faulkner is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
I really don't envy Faulkner right now.

Guy has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Faulkner has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Faulkner is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Faulkner trying to control the action but Guy just sinks the hooks in. Guy is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Faulkner has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Faulkner is trying to get back to his feet but Guy has full control of the position and if anything, Faulkner has just worked his way into a worse spot. Faulkner rolls, trying to escape but Guy keeps control of the position.
