Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rickety Cricket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buck Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Queens of the Stone Age - Goin Out West as his entrance music. Buck Jones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rickety Cricket! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Buck Jones! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jonathan Paton and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cricket steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones. Cricket gets a takedown into half guard. Cricket is working for a submission of some sort.
Cricket trying to pass the guard but Jones defending well. Cricket is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Cricket not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cricket works his way into side control. Cricket working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Jones throws Cricket to one side and escapes! Cricket keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones. Jones misses with a looping left. Buck Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cricket manages to avoid it. Jones lands a jab to the head.
It looks like Rickety Cricket has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones cracks Cricket with an uppercut from hell and Cricket crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Jones's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Cricket is rocked! Jones wanted to stand there but Cricket had control of the position. Oh Cricket is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Cricket throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Cricket seems to have got his legs back now. Cricket looking for a sweep. Not yet Cricket, not yet. Cricket is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Cricket has a closed guard, preventing Jones from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cricket throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Cricket looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jones trying to stand up but can't free himself from Cricket's guard. Cricket working for submissions but it's allowed Jones to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Cricket flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Jones wants to stand but Cricket has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Cricket is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Buck Jones dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rickety Cricket's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Jones misses with a looping left. Cricket lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively. Cricket misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A combination from Jones does no damage. Cricket swinging wilding here.
Cricket with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jones to score with a decent uppercut. Cricket swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A slow jab from Jones misses its intended target. Cricket dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cricket.
Nice defenses there by Cricket. Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cricket stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Jones throws a hook but Cricket blocks it. Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Jones throws a nice looking combination but Cricket bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jones is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Buck Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup. Cricket misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jones throws a jab when Cricket was well out of range. Oh, that's a big right hand from Jones and Cricket goes tumbling to the canvas! Jones follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

Jones is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Cricket throws a wild body kick that Jones sees coming a mile off. Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cricket moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jones misses with a wild body shot. Jones throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cricket counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cricket is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jones is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cricket has knee on belly and moves into mount. Cricket won't let Jones get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Cricket working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cricket unloads with some shots from mount but Jones bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Buck Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Rickety Cricket's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Jones throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Cricket counters with a nice double leg into guard. Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jones wants to stand and escape but Cricket is having none of it. Jones keeping moving, preventing Cricket from controlling successfully. Cricket drops back looking for a leg! Jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones manages to kick Cricket off! Cricket jumps back into Jones's guard. Cricket missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cricket is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Cricket trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Cricket thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jones misses with a wild body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jones misses with an uppercut. Jones misses the shot to the body. Jones throws a right hand that Cricket ducks under and follows up with a left that Cricket also avoids with ease. A swing and a miss from Jones. Jones throws a hook but Cricket blocks it. Jones tries to bum rush Cricket with a series of wild strikes but Cricket uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jones swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cricket counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jones wants to stand and escape but Cricket is having none of it. Cricket throws a big right hand that misses. Cricket is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top! Cricket is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cricket looking for a guillotine here but Jones defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cricket escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jones gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Cricket has a closed guard, preventing Jones from standing up. Rickety Cricket overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jones avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jones gets to his feet. Cricket looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
And that's the end of the fight! Rickety Cricket showed his dominance in that final round. I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
