The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nixon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lillard.
A quick step to the side and Nixon tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Nixon takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Lillard!

The fighters circling - Lillard throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nixon is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Nixon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Good leg kick by Lillard there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Lillard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nixon scores with a jab to the head.
Lillard looks to throw a body kick
letting Nixon counter with a right hand.
Lillard steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nixon.
Nixon lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Lillard throws a leg kick but Nixon sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Nixon slips under a jab from Lillard.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lillard, as that shot connected.
Lillard thuds his right hand into Nixon's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Lillard cracks Nixon with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Nixon throws a low kick but it's checked well by Lillard.
Lillard throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lillard takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nixon comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Nixon scores with a nice strike.
Nixon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lillard is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Lillard scores with a head kick. Nixon tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Evil Nixon has been cut.
Lillard lands a lovely overhand right.

and Nixon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Lillard throws a head kick that misses.
Nixon attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Donk. Nixon catches Lillard right on the button with a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lillard goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Nice shot lands for Nixon.

Lillard follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

and Nixon counters with a lovely straight right hand!

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nixon throws an overhand right that drops Lillard like a sack of potatoes! Nixon dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
