Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Talib works Konopka's body with a nice hook.
Konopka gets caught napping as Talib dives in and scores a takedown. Konopka manages to retain guard.

Talib really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Konopka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Talib has hold of one of Konopka's legs. Konopka is fighting the takedown attempt but Talib gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Konopka pushes Talib off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A bone on bone clash there as Talib blocks the leg kick.
Konopka is looking to clinch but Talib is avoiding it.
Talib shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Konopka lands with a hook. Talib tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Konopka cracks Talib with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Konopka has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Talib to stand back up!
Talib is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Talib gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Konopka gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Talib is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pete Konopka!
Pete Konopka bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
