Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Ray (ranked 6316 p4p, 261 weight class) and Quincy Tricott (ranked 5759 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonathan Ray has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonathan Ray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Quincy Tricott!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ray tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Some wild striking there from Ray.
Ray fails with the takedown

and Tricott counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Tricott is stalling in the full guard.
Tricott lands a couple of digs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ray keeping full guard, as Tricott tries to pass.
Tricott not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Ray will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Tricott has control of Ray's left arm, preventing Ray from doing any damage.

Ray wants to get up but he can't break Tricott's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Ray wants to control from the top but Tricott keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ray is looking to clinch.
Tricott feints the counter takedown.
A low kick from Ray is predictable there

and Tricott counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ray has momentary wrist control but Tricott slips an elbow through the middle.
Tricott is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Ray wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Tricott is now in half guard.

Ray really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tricott tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ray knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Tricott scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Ray is staying active underneath Tricott, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tricott looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ray with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Tricott makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Tricott is just content to waste time from the top position. Ray takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Tricott not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Tricott is fighting to break Ray's control of his arms but Ray is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Tricott is working Ray over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ray loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Tricott swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ray fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tricott avoids it really well and circles away.
No luck for Ray with that takedown attempt.
Tricott feints the counter takedown.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Tricott has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Quincy Tricott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ray working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Tricott has passed into half guard!

Ray tries to get to full guard but Tricott has control of the leg.

Tricott looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Tricott's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Ray ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ray has a takedown stuffed.
Ray is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tricott ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ray moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Good work by Ray as he checks the leg kick.

Tricott dives in and scores a takedown into Ray's guard.
Ray is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Tricott dives into side control.

A lull in the action here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jonathan Ray has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tricott advances to full mount.

Quincy Tricott comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tricott has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
