5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vic Chao! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chao fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bobaszewski manages to avoid it. Chao just misses with a punch to the body.
Chao missing with a left hand there. Bobaszewski was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Bobaszewski throws a series of punches but Chao avoids them all with ease. Chao bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Bobaszewski explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Chao misses with a straight left. Bobaszewski tries to bum rush Chao with a series of wild strikes but Chao uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Chao is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! A decent looking body kick lands there for Bobaszewski. Bobaszewski misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Chao tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Chao misses with a body shot.
Chao has his takedown stuffed and Bobaszewski counters with a stiff right hand. Chao moves to clinch but Bobaszewski breaks away and Bobaszewski counters with a left and a right that stings Chao. Chao connects with a nice looking jab.

Chao is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Chao swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chao swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bobaszewski goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Chao drives through with a takedown into guard. Bobaszewski is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bobaszewski is adopting a defensive guard. Bobaszewski throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Bobaszewski is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Chao is aware though and is defending well. Chao postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Chao controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Chao landing with the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bobaszewski will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Chao throws an elbow that misses. Bobaszewski uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chao's guard. Nice move by Bobaszewski! Bobaszewski lands a couple of elbows. Bobaszewski lands a couple of decent looking shots. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bobaszewski postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Chao is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bobaszewski, into his guard. Bobaszewski working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Chao. Chao looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Chao postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chao works over Bobaszewski with some ground and pound from guard. Chao postures up in Bobaszewski's guard and throws a big left but Bobaszewski blocks it. Bobaszewski is trying to control the position but Chao postures up. Bobaszewski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bobaszewski is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Chao sees it coming and defends easily. Bobaszewski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Chao's head. Chao is looking for a sweep. Bobaszewski is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Chao makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Chao. Bobaszewski throws a big elbow that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Bobaszewski counters with a one-two to the body. Bobaszewski throws a nice looking combination but Chao bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Chao misses with a body shot.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bobaszewski throws a right and a left that both miss. Chao is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Chao tries for a takedown but Bobaszewski circles away easily and Bobaszewski counters with a one-two to the body. Krzysztof Bobaszewski is winning the standup battle so far. Bobaszewski leaves Chao with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Chao cracks a nice hook into Bobaszewski's ribs. Bobaszewski lands a high kick!

and Bobaszewski counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Chao! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Bobaszewski!
