The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lee is defended easily by Steve.
Lee shoots in but Steve avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lee fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Steve! But no joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Magnus Lee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Steve manages to avoid it.
Steve throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Steve punishes Lee's body with a nice straight punch.
Steve moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Oooh a lovely combination from Steve sends Lee down but not out. Steve dives into side control looking to finish.

Steve wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working.
Lee seems to have got his legs back now.
Lee is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Steve off and has taken his back!

Lee lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Steve really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Lee.
Lee lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Steve hold on?!
