The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Begic fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mist to the ground. Begic is now in Mist's guard.
Begic gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Mist digs a good body shot into Begic's ribs.
Begic throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mist counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Begic wants to clinch up but Mist keeps it at a distance.
Begic uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mist.
Begic tries a quick counter leg kick but Mist is wise to it.
Begic wants to clinch
and Mist counters with a straight right hand.
Begic throws a body kick that misses
and Mist connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Begic looks to clinch
and Mist cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Begic misses with a takedown
enabling Mist to counter with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mist scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A lazy body kick from Begic
and Mist counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mist waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Begic.
Faruk Begic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Begic throws a leg kick that is checked
and Mist connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Begic is rocked!
Mist lands with a good body shot.
Begic looks winded!
Begic tries to clinch up.
Mist throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Begic sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Begic tries to counter with a clinch but Mist shakes him off and moves away.
Mist lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Begic at a distance.
Begic on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Begic is still on wobbly legs! Can Mist finish him?
Mist fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Begic square on the jaw! Damn, Begic is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Green Mist!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Green Mist waved his t-shirt featuring YODDHA's logo in front of the cameras.
