Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Pearson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pat Teller! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pearson scores with a hook to the body. Teller takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Pearson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Teller looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Teller on the wrong end of a nice hook. Teller stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pearson. Pearson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Teller's head. Teller throws a hook but Pearson avoids it easily. Pearson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Teller's calf. Teller takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Pearson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Teller has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Pearson. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Teller takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Pearson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Teller shoots in for a takedown but Pearson shows good takedown defense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pearson scores with the left hand. Teller knows he should have avoided that one. Pearson chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Good leg kick by Pearson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Pearson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Teller doesn't seem bothered though. Pearson lands a lovely overhand right.
Teller is rocked! Pearson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Teller is still on wobbly legs! Can Pearson finish him? Teller looks winded! Teller gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Pearson points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Teller wakes up just in time to hear Pearson thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jimmy Pearson!
