Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leeland Lillard (ranked 447 p4p, 65 weight class) and Bode Muller (ranked 962 p4p, 132 weight class). Muller has chosen Feuer Frei as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Leeland Lillard could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bode Muller's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leeland Lillard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

24 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Bode Muller!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muller takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lillard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lillard thumps Muller with a low kick.
Muller throws a big shot that misses.
Lillard throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Bode Muller has been cut.
A telegraphed right hand from Muller misses the target.
Lillard feints and then cracks Muller's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Muller down.

Muller feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lillards jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

It seemed like Muller was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Muller misses with a takedown attempt - Lillard sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lillard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Muller fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
We've been told by Lillard's head coaches at Ryōzanpaku Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Muller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lillard moves away.
Lillard was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lillard looks to land a left hand but Muller moved out of range nicely.
Muller closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Muller lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Muller pushes down on Lillard's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lillard tries to roll over but Muller keeps him under control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Muller is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Lillard reverses the position - he's now on top in Muller's guard.
Muller has his foot on Lillard's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lillard works his way back into a safe position though.

Muller escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lillard gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Lillard slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Lillard has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That was a close second round but I would say that Leeland Lillard will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Muller chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lillard can pounce on him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lillard enables Muller to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lillard manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Muller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lillard swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Muller clobbers Lillard with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Muller bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lillard's head.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Leeland Lillard.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lillard, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
