Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Laws (ranked 3295 p4p, 364 weight class) and Ushio Hinomaru (ranked 3960 p4p, 430 weight class). Mark Laws has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Laws! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ushio Hinomaru! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hinomaru tries to keep at a distance but Laws has taken the fight into the clinch. A short right from Laws. Hinomaru is trying to pull guard but Laws turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Laws lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. A nice right hand lands inside from Laws. Hinomaru jumps guard but Laws stands there with Hinomaru around his waist. Hinomaru gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hinomaru looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Laws swings wildly with an uppercut but Hinomaru uses good head movement to avoid it. Laws escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Hinomaru enables Laws to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hinomaru manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Laws avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hinomaru is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Laws is looking to work some ground and pound but Hinomaru has wrist control. Hinomaru looking to control.
Laws trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hinomaru's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hinomaru pushes a forearm under Laws's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Laws is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
