Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brutus Beefcake!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beefcake avoids the body shot from Cheryshev.
Beefcake looks for a takedown but Cheryshev sprawls well.
An attempted straight right counter from Cheryshev misses the target.
Beefcake's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Cheryshev connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Beefcake scrambles back to his feet.
Beefcake gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Cheryshev to counter with a crisp jab.
Cheryshev throws a nice looking combination but Beefcake bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Beefcake bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Beefcake throws a head kick that misses
and Cheryshev counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Cheryshev's corner calls for a 1-2. Cheryshev obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Cheryshev looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A solid leg kick lands there for Cheryshev.
Beefcake throws a head kick that misses.
Cheryshev uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Beefcake.
Danga de danga de dang - Cheryshev scores with a four punch combination!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cheryshev cracks Beefcake with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Beefcake looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Cheryshev finish him?
Beefcake walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Beefcake gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Cheryshev points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Beefcake wakes up just in time to hear Cheryshev thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Yuri Cheryshev!
Yuri Cheryshev was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
