The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Eddie Farnsworth and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Layne rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Layne takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
It looks like Arnold Layne has been cut.
De Villefort chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Layne can pounce on him.
Layne walks into a straight right hand from De Villefort.
Nice body punch from De Villefort.
De Villefort uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Layne.
De Villefort takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
De Villefort steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Layne.
Layne dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
De Villefort connects with the punch.
De Villefort doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Layne uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before De Villefort has time to react.
Layne misses with a hook. De Villefort ducked under it nicely.
De Villefort throwing a counter right hand but Layne manages to avoid it.
Layne takes a swing at De Villefort's ribcage but misses.

De Villefort throws a right hand that Layne ducks under and follows up with a left that Layne also avoids with ease.
De Villefort tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Layne was well out of range. Poor timing from De Villefort.

Layne is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. De Villefort just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Layne has gone limp and this one is over!
