Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Dann (ranked 3254 p4p, 367 weight class) and Bruno Italo (ranked 3171 p4p, 361 weight class). Bruno Italo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Dann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruno Italo!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dann shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Italo napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Dann winds up and cracks Italo with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dann fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Italo, pushing him back against the cage.

Dann is just content to waste time from the top position. Italo takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Dann is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Italo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Dann would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Italo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Dann is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Italo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Italo drops back looking for a leg! Dann is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dann manages to kick Italo off! Italo jumps back into Dann's guard.
