Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Troy Morningstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo cardoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Troy Morningstar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leo cardoso! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! cardoso has Morningstar up against the cage in a clinch.
A knee to the head by Morningstar.
cardoso tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Morningstar connects with a knee to the head.
Morningstar misses with a hook from the clinch. Morningstar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
cardoso clinches up with Morningstar and pushes him back against the cage. Morningstar is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but cardoso is keeping busy. Morningstar could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Morningstar tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. cardoso smiles and moves away.
cardoso is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Morningstar takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
cardoso fails with a takedown attempt. cardoso stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Morningstar. Morningstar wants to clinch and cardoso counters with a left to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown by cardoso or perhaps it was just good defense by Morningstar which made him look bad. Troy Morningstar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leo cardoso. cardoso gets in close and instigates a clinch. A nice glancing elbow lands by Morningstar. cardoso trying to land knees to the body.
cardoso tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Morningstar using the Thai plumb to throw knees but cardoso has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Morningstar manages to break the clinch.
Morningstar fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Morningstar checks a low kick from cardoso. Morningstar stuffs the takedown. cardoso closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - cardoso lands in his opponent's guard. cardoso looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. cardoso trying to move into half guard but instead Morningstar has managed to sweep! cardoso wants to stand but Morningstar is controlling the position. Morningstar passes into half guard. Still in half guard, Morningstar seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. cardoso wants to control but Morningstar is keeping busy and won't allow it. Morningstar works his way into side control. Morningstar stands up and we're back to a striking position. Morningstar wants to clinch and cardoso decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Morningstar's guard. Morningstar scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Morningstar tries to clinch but cardoso moves out of range. cardoso fails with a takedown attempt. cardoso takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Morningstar tries to clinch up but cardoso circles away and keeps his distance. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. cardoso shoots and misses so Morningstar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. cardoso wants to control the position but Morningstar says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Troy Morningstar dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
cardoso has his takedown stuffed and Morningstar counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Morningstar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. cardoso is looking to improve his position but Morningstar isn't that keen on the idea. cardoso is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Morningstar sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. cardoso is wriggling around trying to escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Morningstar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Morningstar is standing up, even though he is in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Morningstar clinches up against the cage. Morningstar gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Morningstar pulls guard successfully.
Morningstar keeping moving, preventing cardoso from controlling successfully. cardoso has gone for a leg lock! Morningstar slips out almost immediately though and dives into cardoso's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. cardoso working a defensive guard here.
Morningstar decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on cardoso, up you get! Morningstar walks into a jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. cardoso gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Morningstar counters by moving into the clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Morningstar. Morningstar wants to get back to striking at distance but cardoso won't allow it.
Morningstar drags the fight down to the ground.
Morningstar is trying to control the position from the bottom.
cardoso trying to control but Morningstar is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Morningstar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Troy Morningstar dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
cardoso defending well as Morningstar loads up on a big left hand. cardoso moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. cardosois looking to pass into half guard but Morningstar pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Morningstar is in guard. cardoso looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Morningstar passes into half guard.
Morningstar content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. cardoso wants to control but Morningstar passes into side.
Morningstar decides to take the fight back to the feet. Morningstar tries to close the distance and clinch up but cardoso swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Morningstar lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
cardoso keeps the fight on the outside. Morningstar tries to clinch up. Morningstar shoots for a takedown but cardoso saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. cardoso throws a sloppy head kick and Morningstar moves out of range easily. cardoso jabs at Morningstar's body. Morningstar tries to clinch but cardoso is having none of it. cardoso rushes Morningstar and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Morningstar is looking to break free of the clinch but cardoso has double underhooks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Morningstar pulls guard effortlessly. cardoso trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. cardoso gets to his feet - Morningstar follows without any prompting. A jab from Morningstar finds it's way through cardoso's defenses. Morningstar doesn't manage to clinch there - cardoso circles away.
cardoso gets the takedown into side control. Morningstar might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. cardoso lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Morningstar down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. cardoso trying to control the position but Morningstar is working away. cardoso wants to stand but Morningstar has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. Morningstar wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Troy Morningstar. Well Morningstar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
