Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Glenn Williamson (ranked 3106 p4p, 358 weight class) and Iancu Calmuschi (ranked 4093 p4p, 436 weight class). Iancu Calmuschi told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Glenn Williamson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Iancu Calmuschi! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calmuschi fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Calmuschi.
Williamson misses with a takedown attempt and Calmuschi counters with a lovely shot to the body. A left lands for Calmuschi. Calmuschi waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Williamson. Williamson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Calmuschi looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Williamson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Williamson is rocked! Good standup being displayed there by Williamson as he connects with a hook. Williamson takes a swing at Calmuschi's ribcage but misses. Calmuschi leaves Williamson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Calmuschi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Williamson. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Williamson with a poor takedown and Calmuschi counters with a three punch combo that has Williamson backing up. Williamson nods at Calmuschi to acknowledge the strikes. Oh Williamson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Glenn Williamson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Calmuschi dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jab from Williamson. Williamson seems to have got his legs back now. Williamson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Calmuschi misses with a hook. Williamson drops down looking for a counter takedown but Calmuschi sprawls and moves away. Calmuschi throws a predictable looking body shot
and Williamson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Calmuschi blocks a jab. Calmuschi takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Calmuschi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Williamson's head backwards. Calmuschi has Williamson up against the cage in a clinch.
Calmuschi lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Williamson or not. Williamson misses with a short punch on the inside. Williamson is looking to take this one to the mat. Calmuschi misses with a hook to the ribs.
Calmuschi throws a head punch that misses. Calmuschi throws a punch but it's blocked by Williamson. Calmuschi misses with a body punch.
Williamson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Williamson pulls guard. Calmuschi wants to stand but Williamson is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williamson looking for a guillotine here but Calmuschi defends easily.
Williamson is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Calmuschi frees his head nicely. Oh but Williamson has switched to an armbar! Calmuschi is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Glenn Williamson! Glenn Williamson decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
