Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dean Wesson (ranked 343 p4p, 46 weight class) and Gilberto Simeone (ranked 977 p4p, 129 weight class). Wesson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, In Your Honor - Foo Fighters. Gilberto Simeone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wesson throws the kick towards the body but Simeone avoids it.

Simeone bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Wesson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Gilberto Simeone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wesson throws a body shot but no joy.

Simeone tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wesson was well out of range. Poor timing from Simeone.

Simeone stalks Wesson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Wesson's face. Wesson staggers backwards, shaken.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wesson jumps guard but Simeone stands there with Wesson around his waist. Wesson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Simeone lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Simeone stops a takedown attempt from Wesson.
Simeone tries to throw a body punch but Wesson avoids it by throwing Simeone back against the cage.
Simeone gets through Wesson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Simeone lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Wesson jumps guard but Simeone turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Wesson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wesson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Simeone has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wesson is proving hard to escape from.
Wesson has his foot on Simeone's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Simeone works his way back into a safe position though.

Wesson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Simeone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Wesson is tightening it up a little... Simeone has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Simeone reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Simeone taps out! Nice BJJ there by Wesson!

A relieved looking Dean Wesson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
