Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Hirohito Nitta and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katsumoto dives in and grabs Pumphanmuang's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pumphanmuang pushes down on Katsumoto's head and hops out.
Katsumoto shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pumphanmuang as he jumps to the side.
Pumphanmuang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Katsumoto swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Katsumoto steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Katsumoto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pumphanmuang pinned against the cage. Pumphanmuang gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Suayngarm Pumphanmuang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tadashi Katsumoto.

Pumphanmuang is looking to take a break and control but Katsumoto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pumphanmuang looks to land a strike but Katsumoto avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
