Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Francisco Lynch (ranked 8545 p4p, 0 weight class) and Parceval Alicarte (ranked 6052 p4p, 0 weight class). Alicarte has chosen Ini Kamoze - Here Comes The Hotstepper as his entrance music. Francisco Lynch has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Francisco Lynch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Parceval Alicarte! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lynch ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Lynch tries to counter by clinching up but Alicarte breaks away and moves out of range. Alicarte scores with a jab to the jaw.
It looks like Francisco Lynch has been cut. Alicarte clinches with his opponent.
Lynch's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Alicarte throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lynch counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Alicarte! Lynch working the head with strikes. Alicarte tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lynch wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lynch landing a few strikes. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alicarte tries to get back to half guard but can't. You can see the frustration on Alicarte's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lynch looks up at the clock and then as Alicarte takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Lynch smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Alicarte manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lynch's best efforts. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lynch lands a nice short elbow. Ground and pound from Lynch. Lynch wants to work for an arm triangle but Alicarte is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lynch is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Alicarte is just riding it out for now. Lynch eventually gives up the hold. Alicarte looking for submissions off his back. Lynch seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Nice strikes from Lynch there. Alicarte has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lynch is working away from the top position though. Alicarte looking for submissions off his back. Lynch is working for a kimura but Alicarte is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Lynch looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alicarte slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Alicarte working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lynch doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lynch manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lynch wants to get up but he can't break Alicarte's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Alicarte had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lynch defends it easily. Alicarte looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch tries to stand but Alicarte is controlling from the bottom. Lynch trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Lynch really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lynch connects with a couple of short punches. Lynch wants to stand but Alicarte has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Alicarte is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lynch works his way back into a safe position though. That's four minutes gone in the round. Alicarte has a closed guard, preventing Lynch from standing up. Lynch stands and steps away. Alicarte gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Alicarte has his takedown stuffed and Lynch counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Lynch is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Alicarte has managed to free his arm - good work. Alicarte is defending against the submission attempts here by Lynch.
Alicarte tries to roll over but Lynch keeps him under control. Lynch is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Alicarte defends it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Francisco Lynch dominated that round. The cut man is working on Francisco Lynch's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lynch reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Lynch taps out! Nice BJJ there by Alicarte!
