Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mitchell Orr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Janaka Maha!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Maha looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Orr!
Maha prevents Orr from escaping the position.
Orr dodges the ground and pound from Maha.
Maha has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Maha trying to control the position but Orr is working away.

Maha decides to stand up, so the ref orders Orr to his feet.

Maha drives through with a takedown into guard.
Maha is standing up over Orr. Orr looks to escape but Maha dives into side control.

Orr really is a fat lump.
Maha wants to control but Orr is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Maha is staying tight to Orr's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Maha looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Maha stands up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Maha feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Orr has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Orr keeping moving, preventing Maha from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Orr wants to stand and escape but Maha is having none of it.
Orr looking for a sweep. Not yet Orr, not yet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Maha wants to control from the top but Orr keeps moving.
Orr is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Maha is controlling him.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Orr keeping moving, preventing Maha from controlling successfully.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Maha tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Orr moves into the clinch.

Maha successfully pulls guard.
Maha lands a decent shot there.
Orr throwing strikes but missing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Orr postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Orr with a flurry of punches that miss.
Maha is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Orr is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Orr landing some decent shots from guard.
Orr throwing strikes from guard but Maha blocks nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Maha has momentary wrist control but Orr slips an elbow through the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Janaka Maha dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Orr has closed the distance and engaged Maha in a clinch.
Maha tries to land knees in the clinch but Orr avoids the damage to the body.

Maha manages to pull guard.

Maha has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Orr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Orr distracts Maha with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Orr with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maha working a defensive guard here.

Maha pushes a forearm under Orr's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Orr is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
