Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wantoo Smashyu (ranked 5965 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dorian Popa (ranked 5948 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Wantoo Smashyu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dorian Popa! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smashyu with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Popa to score with a decent uppercut. Smashyu takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Popa scores with the left hand. Smashyu knows he should have avoided that one. Popa lands the left hand. Smashyu doesn't succeed with the takedown and Popa counters with a lovely straight right hand! Smashyu misses with an uppercut
and Popa counters with a stiff right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A bone on bone clash there as Popa blocks the leg kick.
Smashyu looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Smashyu tries to score with a low kick but Popa moves his leg out of the way. Popa looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Popa scores with a hook. Smashyu throws a leg kick that is checked and Popa counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A leg kick checked by Popa. Popa cracks Smashyu with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Smashyu throws a low kick but it's checked well by Popa. Popa scores with a jab. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Smashyu fails with the takedown. Popa throws out a counter right but Smashyu avoids it with no problem. Popa has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Popa cracks Smashyu with a good jab. Smashyu dives in for a single leg takedown but Popa sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Popa let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wantoo Smashyu. That's going to take a lot out of him. Popa lands a glancing blow to the side of Smashyu's head. Smashyu throws a leg kick but Popa sees it coming and checks it nicely. Popa might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Popa connects with a good right hand that stumbles Smashyu. Smashyu circles away out of range and recomposes himself. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Popa scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Popa throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Smashyu on the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice shot by Popa. Popa smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Popa connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Smashyu's hands.
Smashyu is rocked! Popa lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Wantoo Smashyu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Popa connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Smashyu momentarily.
Oh Smashyu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Popa cracks Smashyu on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Smashyu falls backwards against the cage. Popa follows up with more strikes that drop Smashyu to his knees. Popa keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Smashyu! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dorian Popa!
