We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Smith has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Diaz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Diaz is posturing up here but Smith has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Diaz tries to roll out but it's too tight and Diaz has to tap! Slick submission there by Smith!
