Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeremiah Levine (ranked 5168 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Petties (ranked 6053 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremiah Levine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Petties! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petties tries for a takedown but Levine sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Levine gets a takedown into half guard. Petties tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Levine manages to move to mount!
Petties is trying desperately to improve position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Levine raining down shots from the mount! Petties is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petties keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Petties tries to hold on but Levine postures up. Levine dominating with strikes here. Petties is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Petties is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Levine is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Petties can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Levine with good strikes from the mount here! Levine has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Petties is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petties throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Petties wants to control but Levine is having none of it. Petties working to try and regain half guard.

Levine won't let Petties get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Levine lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Levine lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Petties hang on? Petties regains half guard. Levine working the head and body with strikes. Petties trying to control but Levine postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Petties blocking the ground and pound attempt from Levine. Petties wants to get back to full guard. Petties is looking to control Levine's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Petties avoid being mounted? Petties might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Levine haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Petties is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Levine scores with a couple of nice shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Petties tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Levine has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Levine raining down shots from the mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Petties forces Levine back against the cage and clinches. Petties is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Petties is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Petties avoiding damage as Levine throws knees to the body.
Levine gets underhooks to prevent Petties's takedown attempt.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Levine. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Levine. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petties tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Levine smiles and moves away.
Petties drives through and clinches with Levine against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Levine stalling against the cage.

Petties with a lazy takedown attempt and Levine moves into the clinch. Jeremiah Levine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Petties. Levine breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Petties has taken the fight to the clinch.
Levine is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Levine breaks the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Petties wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Levine manages to pass to side control. Levine missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Petties is looking to get back to full guard here but Levine has managed to pass to side control instead. Petties tries to improve position but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Levine working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Levine cracks Petties with a big elbow. Petties wants to control but Levine postures up. Levine lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Petties takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Levine stands up and we're back to a striking position. Brandon Petties is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Levine ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Petties moves away. A bone on bone clash there as Levine blocks the leg kick.
Petties throws a head kick that misses and Levine counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Petties! Levine landing a few strikes. Levine scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Petties to see if he's OK. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Petties is working to avoid the ground and pound but Levine connects with a decent elbow. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Petties takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Levine is chipping away with strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Levine is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Petties tries to work over Levine's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Levine's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Petties closes the distance and clinches up with Levine, looking for a takedown. Petties pushes Levine against the cage but Levine circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nice sprawl there from Levine as Petties shoots in. Jeremiah Levine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Petties. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petties moves into the clinch. Levine prevents Petties from breaking the clinch. Petties is looking to take this one to the mat. Petties being controlled against the cage. Petties takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Levine seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Knees to the body from Levine.
Levine presses Petties against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Petties is trying to pull guard but Levine turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Levine taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Levine manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Levine escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Petties shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Levine was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Petties shoots and misses and Levine counters with a takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petties takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Levine working the ground and pound. Levine is putting a hurting on Petties here, landing some big shots from side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Levine scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Petties to see if he's OK. Levine lands a few punches from side control. Petties is trying to control Levine's posture but Levine avoids it. Jeremiah Levine overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Levine lands a nice forearm strike. Levine working the body and head with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Levine stands up and we're back to a striking position. Petties misses with the combination.
Levine feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Levine wants to stand but Petties has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Petties working for submissions but it's allowed Levine to get to half guard.
Petties is trying to maintain the position but Levine is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Petties on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Levine working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Petties is trying to control but Levine passes into side control!
Levine stands up and we're back to a striking position. Brandon Petties has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jeremiah Levine is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Levine gets the takedown into side control. Petties bucks up and tries to throw Levine off but instead Levine has got his back!
And that's the end of the fight! Brandon Petties comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Levine has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
