PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tony Kijowski (ranked 4439 p4p, 225 weight class) and Tadakatsu Honda (ranked 21990 p4p, 387 weight class). Kijowski comes to the cage accompanied by Killuminati. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honda misses with an uppercut.
Kijowski feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Kijowski lands with a kick to the temple. Honda shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
A clash of legs there as Kijowski blocks the low kick.
Kijowski throws a head kick that half lands.
Kijowski throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kijowski keeps Honda at a distance using the push kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Kijowski counters with a body kick that stops Honda in his tracks momentarily.

Honda throws a right hand that Kijowski ducks under and follows up with a left that Kijowski also avoids with ease.
That kick from Kijowski tenderised Honda's leg. Honda is trying to keep his angry face on.

Honda stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kijowski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kijowski seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kijowski enables Honda to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kijowski manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Honda bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kijowski's guard.
