Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chienh Chih Wu (ranked 4297 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Tidwell (ranked 5878 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chienh Chih Wu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rob Tidwell! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tidwell looks for the body kick but Wu saw that one coming. Tidwell shoots in looking for a takedown. Wu tries to sprawl out of it but Tidwell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Tidwell has Wu up against the cage in a clinch.
Tidwell has hold of one of Wu's legs. Wu is fighting the takedown attempt but Tidwell gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Wu tries to strike from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wu wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Tidwell is now in half guard. Wu is trying to maintain the position but Tidwell is very close to passing his half guard. Tidwell tries to stand and escape but Wu is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wu is trying to control but can't.
Tidwell is trying to work for a kimura but Wu is defending well.
Tidwell thows a huge punch but Wu dodges it nicely.
Tidwell with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Tidwell's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Tidwell is thwarting Wu's attempts to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Tidwell defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wu. Sloppy strikes from Wu. Those never looked like landing. Tidwell tries to counter with a clinch but Wu shakes him off and moves away. Wu displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tidwell. The fight stays on the outside here - Wu looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Tidwell fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Chienh Chih Wu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rob Tidwell.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tidwell is defended easily by Wu. Wu shoots in looking for a takedown but Tidwell manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Tidwell shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wu's guard. Wu being controlled here, momentarily. Wu tries to land a sweep but no joy. Tidwell passes easily into side control. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tidwell controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tidwell working away. Tidwell cracks Wu with an elbow. That is naaassty. Tidwell in side control, just content to control the action for now. Check out the look on Tidwell's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wu struggling a bit here. Wu is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Tidwell dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Wu misses with a left hand and Tidwell counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Wu! Rob Tidwell has got the better of the ground game so far. Wu is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Tidwell works his way into side control. Tidwell is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. More stalling from Tidwell. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wu is working to avoid the ground and pound but Tidwell connects with a decent elbow. Wu struggling a bit here. Wu sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Tidwell tries to pass the half guard into mount. Wu knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Tidwell slows the pace down in half guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Tidwell has Wu up against the cage in a clinch.
Tidwell has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Tidwell ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tidwell no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Tidwell seems keen to control Wu's posture. Tidwell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tidwell keeping moving, preventing Wu from controlling successfully. Tidwell keeping full guard, as Wu tries to pass. Tidwell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tidwell seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Wu avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wu wants to control from the top but Tidwell keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tidwell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wu is one step ahead there.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Wu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tidwell takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Wu shoots in but no luck this time. Tidwell tries to counter by closing the distance. Wu fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Tidwell is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Tidwell closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wu did well to prevent Tidwell getting side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tidwell stops Wu from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Tidwell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Wu scores with a head kick. Tidwell tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Wu gets off balance looking for a body kick and Tidwell counters by clinching up. Tidwell manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Wu wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A short right from Tidwell. Tidwell is defending well against a takedown attempt. Tidwell lands a takedown into guard.

Tidwell wants to control but Wu postures up. I wouldn't like to be where Tidwell is right now. Tidwell is trying to control Wu's posture but Wu avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tidwell tries to bench press Wu off him but Wu keeps the position. Wu throwing shots but missing, from side control. Tidwell tries to buck Wu off but Wu is having none of it. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Wu tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Tidwell takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Wu plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Tidwell shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tidwell sitting and controlling from the half guard. Tidwell with more of the same as he continues to hold on. Tidwell thows a huge punch but Wu dodges it nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Chienh Chih Wu showed his dominance in that final round. I think Tidwell has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
