Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Diego McTavish! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Ron Honeybunn and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McTavish closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Williams quickly recovers to half guard. Williams tries to get to full guard but McTavish has control of the leg. McTavish tries to pass the half guard into mount. Williams knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Williams has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but McTavish is on him like a limpet, forcing Williams back against the cage. McTavish wants to take the fight to the mat but Williams manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Williams is trying to break free. Williams controlling the action here for a moment.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Williams is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. McTavish must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but McTavish is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McTavish looking for a sweep. Not yet McTavish, not yet. McTavish keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Williams throws an elbow that misses. McTavish uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Williams's guard. Nice move by McTavish!

That was a close round but I would say that Mickey Williams will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Williams moves into range and clinches up with McTavish. Williams working hard to break the clinch. McTavish using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Williams has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
McTavish turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Williams pushes McTavish away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, McTavish gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. McTavish tries to advance to mount but Williams instead regains half guard. Williams wants to get back to his feet.

Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Williams has locked up a guillotine! Williams's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? McTavish is holding on here and Williams must be using up a lot of energy. McTavish has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Williams gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
