Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Calhoun (ranked 8936 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noah Stewart (ranked 8934 p4p, 637 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Noah Stewart was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Noah Stewart! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Joseph Jones and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calhoun throws a head kick that misses. Calhoun swings and misses with a shot to the body and Stewart counters with a shoot takedown. Calhoun fights it but they end up in guard. Calhoun is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Stewart lands a takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Calhoun has his hands on Stewart's head, controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stewart avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Stewart keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Brian Calhoun will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Stewart leaves Calhoun with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Calhoun throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stewart stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Stewart stuffs a takedown. Stewart looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Calhoun throws out a loose jab but Stewart uses good head movement to avoid it. Calhoun bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Stewart's head backwards. A jab from Calhoun misses. Stewart with the counter takedown but Calhoun avoids it easily. Calhoun lands a jab to Stewart's midsection. Stewart looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Stewart blocks a leg kick. Stewart with the counter takedown but Calhoun avoids it easily. Calhoun throws an overhand right that lands on Stewart's shoulder, as Stewart tries to avoid the shot. Stewart avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Stewart feints the counter takedown. A leg kick checked by Stewart. Stewart displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Calhoun. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Calhoun. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Calhoun tries to score with a low kick but Stewart moves his leg out of the way. A lazy body kick from Calhoun and Stewart decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Calhoun's guard. Calhoun is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Brian Calhoun overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stewart drops back, looking for a kneebar! Calhoun looks panicked! Stewart tries to improve his position but instead Calhoun has taken his back! Calhoun keeps control of the position as Stewart tries to break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Calhoun is looking for the choke from the back position but Stewart is controlling his hands well. Calhoun keeps control of the position easily here as Stewart tries to buck him off.

Brian Calhoun dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
Calhoun shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Calhoun showed some decent athleticism there. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Calhoun lands a nice short elbow. Stewart with the active half guard here but Calhoun passes nicely into side control. Stewart tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stewart regains half guard. Calhoun passes to full mount! Stewart is looking to improve his position but Calhoun isn't that keen on the idea.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Calhoun has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Stewart's body.
I really don't envy Stewart right now.
Calhoun is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Calhoun controlling from the back. You can see the frustration on Stewart's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Calhoun just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Stewart drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Stewart seems to have locked his on tight now - Calhoun screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Stewart, as he picks up the win!
