Sanchez comes to the cage accompanied by Lil'Wayne - Right Above It feat. Drake. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

21 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Danny Ciprianni! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez moves out of range of the strikes. Sanchez throws a one two combo.
Sanchez throws a right hand that Ciprianni ducks under and follows up with a left that Ciprianni also avoids with ease. Sanchez throws a right and a left that Ciprianni avoids nicely. Sanchez throws a hook but Ciprianni blocks it. Sanchez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Sloppy strikes from Sanchez. Those never looked like landing. Ciprianni takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Sanchez looks to land a combination but Ciprianni avoids it well. Ciprianni moves into range and clinches up with Sanchez. Sanchez is trying to pull guard but Ciprianni turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Sanchez has a couple of punches blocked by Ciprianni.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ciprianni gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sanchez trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Ciprianni sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Sanchez is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Blackscar Fitness that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Ciprianni wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ciprianni fails to advance to Sanchez's back. Ciprianni takes Sanchez's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Sanchez is in trouble. Sanchez is trying to stand back up. Ciprianni is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Sanchez tries to break free.
Well, with Ciprianni on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Sanchez is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Ciprianni looking to break Sanchez's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Sanchez remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Ciprianni will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Ciprianni keeps control of the position as Sanchez tries to break free.

Sanchez trying to get back to his feet but Ciprianni is in full control for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ciprianni biding his time, controlling Sanchez. Let's hope that Ciprianni has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Sanchez preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Ciprianni. Ciprianni has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Sanchez's body.
Sanchez wants to escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez is trying to defend against the choke here but Ciprianni has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Ciprianni Tightens the hold and Sanchez taps out furiously! Ciprianni displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
